Person-Centered Approach
This therapy space is rooted in a person-centered approach, where you are seen as the expert of your own life. While the therapist provides support, structure, and tools, you are the one who guides the direction and determines what feels right for you. Your experiences, values, and inner knowing are respected every step of the way.
We also hold the belief that every person has an innate drive toward growth and self-actualization. You have been doing the best you can with what you’ve had—your environment, your experiences, and available resources. In this space, we honor that effort while creating room for new insight, healing, and possibility.
Trauma-Informed Care
Many of the mental health challenges we experience—such as anxiety, depression, or chronic stress—are often rooted in trauma. Trauma is not only defined by what happened, but also by how those experiences were held in the body, processed in the mind, and responded to over time. The ways you think, feel, and relate to yourself and others today are often shaped by what you have been through and what you had to learn in order to cope, sometimes in ways that are outside of your conscious awareness.
To fully understand and support mental health, it is essential to acknowledge the depth, complexity, and lasting impact of trauma. Healing is not about erasing the past, but about gently processing what has been held, building new ways of relating to yourself, and creating a greater sense of safety, flexibility, and choice in the present. Moving forward toward the life you want often involves tending to these deeper layers. With the right support, healing from trauma can open space for clarity, connection, and a more grounded sense of self.

No one can do this alone! Every healing journey starts with a strong therapeutic relationship as it is the most important factor to therapy effectiveness, regardless of what intervention modality is used. Every therapeutic relationship is built with trust, respect, and compassion, creating a safe and accepting space where you can show up as you are and begin to make sense of and explore your story.
